The nights may be drawing in but Andover’s music scene is about to be set alight this September with the launch of the all new Sound of Soul Choir. This exciting new mixed choir combine perfect harmonies, friendship and a love of singing, with a diverse repertoire ranging from the Beatles and Michael Jackson, to Taio Cruz and Jessie J.
At its very essence, Sound of Soul Choir is a friendly vocal group whose welcoming approach and love of singing is infectious. As musical director Stefan Pearmain comments, “The members make Sound of Soul Choir. Their talent, energy and enthusiasm make Monday night rehearsals the best night of the week!”
Running his own theatre school (The Long Overdue Theatre School in Andover), Stefan has considerable experience to bring to the choir. As choir member Donette notes, “Stefan uses his talents as a musical director to great effect, with original and unique vocal arrangements that set Sound of Soul apart.”
Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings, from 7.45-9.30pm at Harrow Way School, Andover, and the choir is currently looking to recruit new members. So if you love singing, the Sound of Soul Choir is the only place to be this autumn!
